Liberal Party Team Celebrate major progress in both Local and Euro Vote

For Liberals June 10th was a date to celebrate. In the new Tuebrook and Stoneycroft Ward ,Cllr Steve Radford secured 2919 votes,an all time high, representing an equivalent of 85% of votes cast

His Liberal Ward colleagues Chris Lenton and Hazel Williams secured the equivalent of 70% of votes

The Labour Team fighting Tuebrook left the election count early in an unduly subdued state, Kenndey's team didn't even bother to turn up - bless the little dears .

Over in Anfield Mike Butler achieved 688 votes and a good 500 plus for Linda Roberts, LInda kindly stepped in as our previous planned candidate had to withdraw due to illness in the family

Liberals Andrew Donaldson and Joe Flannery ,fighting Knotty Ash and Cressington Wards for their first time ,polled just a whisker off 400 votes, a terrific start - Well Done

Throughout the West Derby Constituency Liberals secured a respectable vote even against long standing Lb Dem Cllrs

Across the city the Liberal Party secured 6% of the city wide vote, which compares to 3% for the Tories and less than 2% for the Greens and various socialist left groups

But the best came on Sunday night, as the Liberal Party saw their vote rise dramatically in the Euro Elections , In Liverpool City alone some 3000 voters switched from Lib Dem to Liberal Party in the Euro Ballot.,  securing 8% of the city wide vote, with 8,862 votes.

In most boroughs in Merseyside and adjoining Halton and Warrington, the Liberal Party No Euro vote was around 5% or more

This shows in areas of Liberal Party profile our vote rose more so than in areas in which we are inactive

This shows the utter dishonesty of the Lib Dems ,peddled by the BBC, that Liberal Party votes were due to confusion

In fact every Liberal Party leaflet for the euro's elections made a direct attack on Lib Dem policy -

"It is a sad reflection that we mentioned their policies even more than they did ",commented Cllr Steve Radford at the Manchester City Hall Count.

In fact in the Lib Dem lealets ," their euro intergrationist policies were hidden from sight as if they were a serial burglar hiding crimminal convictions whilst applying for a job as a bank clerk"
