Stoneycroft Residents Appeal Rejected...

(at Planning Committe - Tuesday 21st October)
The former Sunny Oak children's home, Hughenden Road, Stoneycroft, has been sold to a private builder and planning permission given to convert it into 5 separate flats.

Despite appeals from Local Residents at two hearings and supported by their Liberal Councilors, the Lib Dem controlled planning committee agreed to the extension and conversions.

The former lawn at Sunny oak will now be converted into a 5 car parking lot. This is despite all the evidence that there is already an excess of multi-occupancy housing, despite the fact their was no shortage of purchasers at auction who wanted the site as a family home, the Lib Dem Councillors gave the application approval ignoring all local opinion.
