Bankfield Sandstone Wall left in Dangerous State for 12 Weeks...

At the Culture and Tourism Committee, Cllr Steve Radford protested that the Sandstone Wall on Bankfield Road had been left in a dangerous state with slabs left blocking the pavement, despite council officers having confirmed an order for repair had been placed over 7 weeks ago.

Cllr Warren Bradley promised there would be an immediate inspection, he was then rebuked "we don't need an inspection we need the site repaired, its been inspected already, I visited the site last Sunday and it is still a danger" hit back Steve Radford. "If your officers can't rectify a major Heath and Safety hazard don't send then on a visit sack them.

The following day on Radio Merseyside, Cllr Radford said he would act as a witness for any resident injured as a result of this negligence.
