LIBERALS BACK QUAKERS and QUIGGINS vs CITY COUNCIL and GROVENOR DEVELOPMENT...
The Liberal Party are supporting the Objections by the Society of Friends and Quiggins against the CPO which will force them out of Freeholds.
This will be the third enforced moved for the Quakers, "Its just not fair to keep pushing them around. They are esentially a voluntary faith group who have contributed, out of all proportion to their numbers, to the life of the City" commented Cllr Steve Radford
In the case of Quiggins this is very much Liverpool's answer to London's Camden Market and Manchester's Affleck's Palace. It is the ideal environment for alternative lifestyle business, to force them out would be an act of cultural and economic vandalism. Once again these policies are being forced through without any debate at full council by the Lib Dem ruling Cabal.
