Councillors Call for Action on Former Venue Site...

Inspector Maria Martin of Eaton Road Police Station has been advised that over the last few weeks syringes have had to be removed from the site of the former Venue Nightclub, Green Lane. Liberal Party Councillors Steve Radford, Hazel Williams and Chris Lenton have urged Building Surveyors to demolish the site as it is unsafe. Police Sources have confirmed they have frequently needed to intervene to remove youths from the site

Inspector Martin has reassured community leaders that there has been significant anti-drugs police work undertaken in the Green Lane vicinity.

Calls for firmer council action to CPO this site will undoubtably be raised at the Area Committee on Monday 3rd Nov, 6.30 at the Tuebrook Hope Centre, rear of St Johns Church, Green Lane.
