Newhsam Park Protest Pays Off

Liberal Party Councillor Steve Radford and 11 objectors from the Newsham Park and Fairfield Communities gave evidence to the Planning Committee concerning the Depot site being inadequate in size to develope  as a Secondary School for 900 pupils, as a result the committee have agreed to go back and review the site with a seperate hearing on location on the 26th Jan.

The battle to preserve this special Green Space and Victorian Park continues. ironically when the case was finally heard the so called official opposition Labour Party did not have a single councillor in the room, no wonder even the Lib Dem's joke that The Liberal Party is the real opposition
