Only 60 Hours left to Save Newsham Park from the Lib Dems Sales

Turn up at Liverpool Town hall at 12.00 , Monday 26th

Protest to ensure our Parks Survive the Lib Dems Give Away Sale!

Already splits in the Lib Dem ranks are showing as leading members of the Education Committee agree that the Newsham Park Depot site is too small to provide adequate space for outdoor recreation and sport-  so much so the Urban Design Panel suggested that a coutyard roof be used .

In a major feature in the Daily Post ,Liberal Party Councillor Steve Radford pointed out that a feeble increase from 18 to 45 car park places just meant that the leisure space shrunk more.

Gardeners Drive will invariably be turned into a giant parking lot under this slap dash scheme

Meanwhile the school will need to utilise 3 football pitches on the Park, however what school could ensure security when the pitches would be in an open park with public roads looping the fields.

Meanwhile Liberal Party Councillor Hazel Williams hit the Radio Waves ,on Radio Merseyside Roger Phillips Phone In, joining local resident Jonathan Brown. They really put the council on the spot as not only compromising the councils declared policy to save open spaces but jeopardising school childrens safety
